What this website is, what it is not, and the conditions for using it.
This website is educational, not medical advice
Everything published here is general information about breast implant illness, explant surgery and breast restoration. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for being examined by a doctor. Reading this site does not create a doctor–patient relationship with Dr. Urzola or with Explant Costa Rica.
If you have symptoms that worry you, see a physician who can evaluate you in person. If something on this site describes your situation, bring it to a consultation rather than acting on it alone.
Surgical content and age requirement
This website contains real surgical footage and clinical photography, including operations in progress, removed implants and capsules, and unclothed before-and-after images of the chest. It is published because women deciding on this surgery ask to see it.
By using this website you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. The before-and-after gallery requires you to confirm your age before it will load, and the surgical videos do not play until you choose to start them. Neither is suitable for minors, and neither is safe-for-work viewing.
Photographs and video of patients
Every patient image on this site is published with that patient’s consent. They are not stock photography and they are not simulations. You may not download, copy, republish or redistribute them, including on social media. They belong to the patients who agreed to share them and to the practice.
Results are individual
Surgical outcomes vary from one person to another. Anatomy, medical history, how long implants were in place and how the body heals all change the result. The figures and studies cited on this site describe groups of patients; they are not a forecast for you, and nothing here is a guarantee of any outcome.
Booking requests
Submitting the consultation form is a request to be contacted. It does not reserve a surgical date, does not create any obligation for you, and does not commit the practice to accepting your case. What you send is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not send urgent medical concerns through this form — it is not monitored for emergencies.
