U-Flap Procedure

Flap surgery is a plastic and reconstructive surgery technique where any tissue is lifted from a donor site and moved to a recipient site with an intact blood supply. The U-Flap is a flap that I developed to improve the aesthetic outcomes of patients having explant surgery. To perform the U-Flap procedure, a portion of fat tissue is obtained from the upper abdominal fat and is used to help increase the volume of the lower pole of the breast. The flap size will depend on the amount of tissue obtained from the upper abdominal region, and the volume increase obtained is directly proportional to the flap size.

The incisions used to do this procedure are the same incisions needed to do a breast lift.
